For me, Mean Girls is one of those nostalgic movies that are perfect to put on when doing homework or unwinding after a stressful day. I love how funny the characters are, and I wanted to find some books like mean girls with similar themes. 

What is Mean Girls About?

Mean Girls details the comedic high school experience of a teen girl named Cady. Cady is a quirky redhead who grew up in Africa and has been homeschooled her entire life. After enrolling in an American public high school, Cady catches the most popular girl group’s attention. For a while, it’s been a dream come true. Cady experiences what it’s like to be one of the most popular faces at school. But then Cady starts to see why her new “friends” have such bad reputations for being cruel, shallow, and… plastic.
