Books Like Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn

Gillian Flynn is the type of author who writes fantastic books with realistic characters. The characters in her stories aren’t flawless, and she often tastefully delves into the exploration of these weaknesses instead of avoiding them. 

In Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn, we meet reporter Camille Preaker who was just released from her admittance to a psych hospital. Camille’s job proves to be difficult when she is assigned to visit her hometown to investigate a string of suspicious murders. Her fractured relationship with her mother and half-sisters threatens to shatter the closer Camille gets to the truth.

Psychological Thriller Books

If you tend to reach for twisty psychological thriller books, this story is something you’ll enjoy! The books on this reading list are just as thrilling and will leave you on the edge of your seat as you try to discover “who did it” from the lineup of characters presented. 

You’ll also be introduced to some excellent thriller authors. I’d recommend checking out their other books! I tend to find that when I enjoy an author’s writing style, I usually like reading their other books.
